Heart of Fire

Mountain range with forest in the distance. Grass field. Dialogue reads 'Well, you're beautiful. That's all I meant.'.
Usually, playing an RPG means you’re in it for the long haul. But with Heart of Fire, it’s a short-haul only zone. Unless you’re terrible at it like me, of course.

Given the short length of it I don’t want to spoil too much, but it’s basically a short fantasy story about a group of unlikely travelers who are forced to bond while they fight for their lives. It’s clearly reminiscent of early titles in the genre, and it provides a cool twist on the usual soldier/damsel narrative found in this type of tale.

You should play this if…

You liked games like the original Final Fantasy, but wished they could be slightly gayer? Or if you like RPGs and you just want to kill a bit of time. The story is cute but a little rushed, though that’s not unexpected it something designed to be short. You may also die a few times, so to get through this one might require a little bit of patience and perseverance.
