Reigns is a simulation game that uses 'swipe left' and 'swipe right' mechanics reminiscent of dating app, Tinder. You play as a number of successive kings who are able to marry princesses and have lovers. You can date Gregorios the artist if you successfully duel with him; he tells you that you have touched his heart, and you can reciprocate those feelings. Taking Gregorios as your lover makes the people just as happy as they are if you have a woman as a lover.

There is also a dialogue branch with a witch where she offers to teach you white magic about the ways of love and you can choose to like or dislike a number of characters (playing on the game's similarities to Tinder) including women, men, the executioner (whose gender is not revealed), and a pigeon.
