Several characters in the Resident Evil series are coded as potentially queer, including Alfred, the main antagonist in Resident Evil - Code: Veronica. After helping to put his twin, Alexia, in stasis, Alfred forms a second persona named Alexia to cope with the separation, who wears women's clothing. However, this behaviour is attributed to a form of disassocative identity disorder or similar mental condition.

In Resident Evil: Dead Aim, Morpheus Duval (again, the antagonist) uses a strain of a virus to create a mutated, feminine version of himself, that can be interpreted as exploring trans representation.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City includes the character Crispin Jettingham, who writer Adam Bullied has said was written to be gay, although the game itself does not reveal this.
